5 Blogs to Help You Connect With Your Kids
I’ve discovered a few blogs recently that I enjoy for the way they remind me of my top priority- staying connected with my kids. My blog is titled “Creative With Kids.” Well- I’d say most of my creativity goes towards this ultimate goal of maintaining connection.
Blogs That Encourage Connection With Kids:
Hands Free Mama
Rachel’s post about starting to do what you love right now, not waiting until that elusive “perfect time” turned me into a subscriber to her blog: A Year From Now
Loving Earth Mama
I found Loving Earth Mama over the holidays and she won me over when I read her post: Why having fewer toys may bring more happiness to the family. Not one to be afraid of a little controversy, she is open about her parenting beliefs and keeps respectful conversation going on her Facebook page.
When I shared this post with my readers on Facebook , I got many responses about how touched they were by Kate’s honesty and vulnerability: I love you, no matter what.
Dinosaurs and Octopuses
Joyce blogs mostly about activities she does with her preschool age son. What touches me about her posts is the way she weaves in parts of her mothering journey and tidbits about the memories she is striving to create in her family: What We Learned From Playing With Rocks
Connective Parenting- Bonnie Harris
Bonnie Harris, not exactly a blogger like the rest (though she does have a blog.) She is the author of Confident Parents, Remarkable Kids: 8 Principles for Raising Kids You’ll Love to Live With and When Your Kids Push Your Buttons: And What You Can Do About It. Her Facebook feed is great because she shares status updates that get me thinking about my parenting choices, and help me navigate some of the tricky parts of mothering.
How about you? Who inspires you in this motherhood journey?
