Creative Christmas Countdown Day 21 – Swirl Painted Ornaments
Welcome to day 21 of the Creative Christmas Countdown. Some folks seem pretty sure it’s the end of the world, but I’m not so convinced about that. I’m still planning on finishing up my Christmas shopping and wrapping this weekend. However, if the world has not ended and that was what you were planning on, you’ll be looking for something to fill your time…I suggest making these lovely ornaments.
We made ornaments like this a few years ago and they are still some of the favorites when we pull them out of the ornament box. They come out so beautifully. Find the tutorial on Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas site by clicking the link above! While you’re there, look around a bit to find many creative ideas for learning and play – I always go to Bern’s site when I’m looking for reading activities.
Artsy Craftsy Tip:
One of my must-haves for easier art with kids: A vinyl table cloth so I can save our dining table from paint spills – the one I have is white, I think they’re sold to go under table cloths. I really really like the fact that it’s white. We’ve had brightly colored vinyl table cloths for art before too and they feel a bit distracting.
You can see what else I keep in my basic art kit here. Having it all rounded up in one easy to access spot makes a huge difference for us.
Tomorrow Red Ted Art will have another tip for you and I’ll be presenting a fun activity that’s super simple. Thanks for joining us on this countdown!
