Sunny weather has turned our front yard into a permanent picnic zone for the past week.
Breakfast out front- sure!
Shall we sit and draw a bit? Ok, head to the picnic blanket!
Hey – Let’s water, and the baby can sit on the blanket and watch.
This Picnic Spot is ready for spontaneous relaxation.
I’ve been leaving our picnic blanket/rug in the yard because it welcomes us to come sit outside for a bit. It makes for a friendly landscape that gets us outside more often, and opens up the opportunity for spontaneous picnics through out the day.
I don’t have a magazine perfect landscaped yard, but by doing something simple I can make it a place we like to have picnics and make memories together.
We sometimes use this rag rug – a Target find, and for picnics on-the-go we love our JJ Cole All-Purpose Blanket (affiliate link). The JJ Cole picnic blanket has a strong waterproof back and it’s been super durable. We’ve had ours since 2006 and it’s still going strong after all those summers of use.
Do you have somewhere to make a permanent picnic spot in your yard?
