Printable Winter Activities Pack – Coloring Pages, Mazes, Paper Village
Winter Activity Pages that are fun for the whole family!
Preschoolers up to adults will enjoy these printable coloring pages, conversation starters, and more. This packet is perfect to print for fun activities if you’re traveling during winter break.
As more and more people are using Hyatt House for the Holidays, Hyatt House reached out to me to ask if I would like to partner with them to give ideas on making a stay away from home feel cozy and homelike during this time of year.
Perfect – cozy and connected is exactly what I love to share with people. To that effect I’ve created this printable cozy Winter Fun Pack. These printable winter activities are perfect if you’re traveling for winter break, or if you need activities for your family when you’re stuck inside on a cold day – I’ve included coloring pictures that both adults and kids will enjoy, mazes, word games and conversation starters that work great as a way to keep everyone happy on a car or airplane trip.
Thanks to Hyatt House, this packet is free to download.
To try out my cozy Winter Fun Pack, Hyatt House sent our family down to the Hyatt House Scottsdale/Old Town for a winter stay. Parents Magazine named Hyatt House one of the “10 Best Hotel Chains For Families” in 2015, so I was excited to bring my family for a stay. I printed out our winter activity pages for us to enjoy together and we made it a holiday outing. We had a blast.
The Printable Winter Activities Pack includes simple activities and crafts that make any place feel like home:
- Winter Travel Tips
- Kids’ Packing List
- Hot Cocoa Mug Cake Recipe
- Coloring Pages
- Winter Maze
- Design Your Own Mittens Page
- Paper Village Printable Craft
- Conversation Starters
- Snow Madlibs
The first thing we did on arriving at Hyatt House Scottsdale/Old Town was discover the craft basket they’d prepared for us. Oh boy!
Right away we made some paper snowflakes to make the place feel festive. Snowflakes are a simple and well-love winter craft for my kids and they don’t take to long, which is good when there’s a pool nearby. Coming down to Scottsdale for us meant coming down from our chilly 7,000 foot elevation at home, to warmth – my kids spent a ton of time swimming.
The next morning started with the breakfast buffet and then we crowded around the table to color and decorate our winter village. Glitter glue and crayons made it really cute – my daughter of course had to add bright gems and rainbow pom poms.
We went for another swim while we waited for the glitter glue to dry.
After lunch Mama constructed the houses, while Papa oversaw epic fort building time. (What else do you do when your hotel room has a huge couch in it?) Then naturally, it was time for another swim.
Thanks to all the activity, the kids were pretty mellow that evening. We made Hot Cocoa Mug Cakes for dessert (there’s a full kitchen in these rooms) and snuggled together to watch a show together before an bed. I’ve included the recipe on a coloring page in the winter activities download too!
I’m SO happy with how this winter fun pack came out. My brother helped me by drawing the mittens maze and I drew the houses and coloring pages. I hope you enjoy!
