Wooden Ornament Kits by Two Kids in the Kitchen (affiliate)
- Price: $9.99
- Best ages: 3-9
These kits allow your child to make 3 wooden ornaments. I was very impressed with their completeness. All I had to do was lay out a vinyl table cloth and open the cloth bag the kit came in. I had everything we needed – even a whole set of paintbrushes. The instructions are clear and I just read each step to my kids. My 6 year old and 3 year old enjoyed making these; of course the 3 year old’s creations were a paint blended pinkish brown, but she was pleased. Highly recommended for a multi-age group.
Fun ideas: you could glue on a photo of your kids as a memento for the year, you could also add glitter glue to your decorating for some sparkle.
Collage Decoration Ornaments by Artterro (affiliate)
- Price: $16.97
- Best Ages: 6-Adult
This kit makes 5 collages ornaments. I enjoyed participating in this craft, and it would be most suitable for older kids who have the fine motor skills to handle the tissue with the sticky ornament. You’ll need to supply regular school glue, but the kit includes the shiny finishing glue and all other needed supplies. The end results are very pretty and gift worthy – and you get enough supplies to make five!

This kit includes everything needed to make 4 cards and 2 journals – perfect for holiday gifts. I liked that we learned something new with the printing activity in this kit, and that the art materials they send are high quality. Each of my boys made a journal to give. I appreciated that they were able to make such a useful gifts with their art.
