Printable Kids Packing List With Pictures
We’re getting ready to go out of town and my kids love to prepare for a trip. If you’ve got some travel planned as well, you might like this packing list so the kids can help out.
You can modify and print your own by clicking on the image below, then in Google docs go to “File” and click “Make a copy.”
Once you’ve got a copy you can delete or add items or rearrange if you like.

The downloadable document includes:
- Short Sleeved Shirts
- Long Sleeved Shirts
- Pants
- Shorts
- Hat
- Swim Suit
- Pajamas
- Jacket
- Underwear
- Socks
- Shoes
- Sandals
- Water Bottle
- Backpack
- Blanket
- Lovey

- Books
- Dresses
- Skirts
For my kids, I printed out the lists and then wrote a number in the box to indicate how many they should pack of each item. If you think you’ll be using this repeatedly you could laminate it or slip it into a sheet protector and use dry erase markers to mark things off.
Happy travels!

Hi, I think your the most awesome person ever to create this! This is fantastic!!! I am not tech savvy on my own and I have been stuck Hand DRAWING stick figures. Thanks to GOOGLE I found you! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. From the momma of kids ages 3, 5, almost 6. Who don’t read quite well enough to pack themselves! Now off to travel again. (we travel ALOT).
Hello to every single one, it’s genuinely a nice for me to go to
see his website, it consists of precious Information.
Jill Bright Struemph, you need one of these for your kids!! For the next time we go to Innsbrook!!
This is perfect for my 4 yr old!
It would be really cool to have one of these for helping kids get ready for school.
Good thinking Robin – what would you put on it? (Honest question as I homeschool and am not sure I’d make the right list!)
Thanks! This was so helpful.
You’re welcome – we have used ours already three times this summer! I printed one for each kid and put them in page protector sleeves so they could use a dry erase marker on them, and that worked really well.
Thank you! This is perfect for my special needs foster daughter to be able to pack her things independently (quick check from myself or husband is so much easier than fighting to get her to get the right stuff, and quicker than having to do it ourselves).
I love love love this! My daughters loves to pack. Before she could read I drew up a packing list for her. Now, even though she can read, she likes to pictures too. But now that I have 3 little ones it is much harder to sit down and draw each item every time we head out of town. (and my drawings were never great enough to photocopy) So, this has basically saved my life…well, at least my sanity.
Yay! So glad you like it. Happy packing and happy travels with your kids!
Thanks for posting this — it’s just what I wanted and it saved me lots of time.
My 4 year old LOVES to pack; I think this will help keep him on track! Thanks for sharing this.
